Drivers License Age for Motorcycle - 2008/07/31 22:35 Good afternoon,

My son turned 16 yrs of age on the 3 of May 2008, yet when I try to make a Drivers license booking for him for his Scooter that is a 125cc, at the GPG call centre they insist that he is to young for a licence as per the system. Yet on the enatis system web site http://www.enatis.com/kb/How-to-apply-for-a-driving-licence.html it is stated

Quote

In order to apply for a driving licence you
must have a learner's licence. To apply for a driving licence for a
motor vehicle you must be over the age of 18, while you must be older than 16 to apply for a licence to operate a motor cycle (with an engine
capacity of up to 125 cc).

My eldest son got his Drivers Licence for his scooter when he was 16 yrs.

Please can someone explain to me why I cannot make a booking for my son, he is older than 16 yrs.

Thanks

Marié

Re:Drivers License Age for Motorcycle - 2008/08/08 01:02 It seems that nobody has an answer on this one. I have tried to get some joy from the call centre and also they don't respond.
We can't complain about service as there has is no service????????????

Re:Drivers License Age for Motorcycle - 2008/08/09 03:20 I was so fortunate to be on leave for a few days, please grant me that privilege . In this case, the GPG call centre is clearly off the line. Report the incident to the provincial representative at http://www.enatis.com/Contact-Us/Sarel-van-Deventer.html.
