Traffic fines given to wrong person! - 2008/01/15 02:40
 I was working for a company, and was the proxy for the registration of the vehicles. Therefore, all the traffic offences caused by the drivers of that company went onto my personal name.
I have since left the company, and am not working there anymore. The director said that he had changed the proxy onto his own name subsequent to my resignation. He has even provided me with a document proving the change of proxy.
However, I see that traffic fines are still being loaded onto my name (through www.payfine.co.za). How is this happening?
This causing me distress, as the Metro Police could, and probably will, pull me over and claim that I have outstanding fines on my name. I can then be arrested and placed into jail, until I have paid them.
Even if this does not happen, the new points system that is coming soon will take these offences onto my name. I could then lose my licence as a result of other peoples driving offences!
Does anyone know what can be done about this?
