Re:POSTING NOW FOR REGISTERED USERS ONLY - 2007/04/23 23:15 I am not sure if this matter will receive any attention but I am so frustrated and have no hope of getting help anywhere!

I obtained my driver's licence on 5 January 1990 at the Tzaneen registering authority.

At the time when we had to convert our old licences to the new card system ones. Standing in cues for days I eventually got in front doing all the testing etc. only to find out that they could not get any information of mine on the system. This was not a joke because I even had a car registered previously on my name as well. So I was send from one person to another ending up at the Helpdesk of the traffic department with all the details from the entry in the register and copies of all relevant documentation. It has been more than 3 years now that this information is lying with Helpdesk and nothing has been resolved. They cannot give me an answer.

Is there nothing that can be done to get some results?

Re:POSTING NOW FOR REGISTERED USERS ONLY - 2007/05/02 21:59 My brother went for his learners, after 3 days of trying to get through to the drivers license call centre, he was finally able to book his drivers, he had to wait for two months after making the booking to go for the test. Finally the day came and the testing officer failed him, because 1. he did not go through a driving school & 2. because he was driving too slow in the testing ground area. Now he is trying to make a new booking and pay again, but the call centre is permanentley engaged (and you can only phone until 12pm) or we finally get through and the call centre voice mail tells you that they are having technical troubles and you must please phone back later. So once again we are trying to make the call and the line is permantley engaged again. I can understand why some of the honest citzens are willing to get illegal licenses, it is les frustrating and less inconvienece. I mean please can we do something about this. My son is due to go for his drivers now and we can not get through to the call centre. What else is new. Please help!!!
