Hi Steve,
According to the records maintained by the DLTCs, card number 606000139YR7 was issued to you on 2003-10-02 with an expiry date of 2008-09-16. You ordered another card (the one in your possession) on 2004-09-07. The DLTC never updated the record of the card you have in your possession, to indicate that it was collected and thus to make the card referred to above, outdated. You thus have a valid card until 2009-09-07 and will receive another notice in about a year's time.
A defect has been logged to change the notice generation process to ignore superseded cards, but this is not seen as priority since a notice too much is seen to be better than no notice.
Thus, if the card in your possession have a later expiry date later than that on the notice (and was legitimately obtained  ), the notice can be ignored.
