writinghand_cTasima (Pty) Ltd, official National Traffic Information System (eNaTIS) contractor, will undergo an audit conducted by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) during the course of October 2007.

The purpose of the audit is to provide independent assessment of the company’s quality management system with a view to gaining ISO 9001:2000 certification.

‘We are confident that our quality management system will meet the requirements for the relevant ISO certification,’ says Stoffel Lombard, Tasima’s quality officer. ‘This comprehensive verification by the SABS, South Africa’s national certifier, will serve to confirm the high quality standards maintained at Tasima. Should we ultimately achieve certification, and I have no doubt that we will, it will serve as testimony to the effectiveness and validity of our quality management system. Tasima is fully committed to professionalism, quality, safety and good governance.’
