The National Traffic Information System (eNaTIS) recorded 15 593 845 transactions in March 2009, returning to high volumes following the decreased demand experienced in the previous month (read the relevant report here). Although the significant drop in vehicle introductions experienced in February 2009 did not continue, year-on-year figures in this category displayed a decrease of 27.76% (47 285 vehicle introductions in March 2009 compared to 65 452 introductions in March 2008).

ppp_ibusi_clp_businessmanpushinggraph_s_99.pngDaily totals in excess of 600 000 transactions were recorded on virtually all weekdays, and totals in excess of 700 000 on three occasions. Monday, 30 March was the busiest day with 730 410 transactions being recorded nationally.
