Multiple Tracking Units PDF Print E-mail

Most of us love our vehicles to the extent that we are willing to pay the premiums to protect them in terms of insurance, alarm systems and tracking units. Some of us are even crazy enough to install two sets of tracking units from two different tracking companies to make sure that our vehicles are definitely recovered.

When a vehicle with two tracking units is stolen, do we have a system in place to ensure that the recovery units do not gun each other down? Who makes sure that the recovery unit from the tracking company that finds the vehicle first is not ambushed by another unit? Who will be held responsible in such a case? Do we have a law stating that vehicle owners may not install two tracking devices? Do tracking companies communicate with each other?
