Continuing the trend set in October 2008, the National Traffic Information System (eNaTIS) processed more than 600 000 daily transactions on no fewer than eight occasions in November 2008 and came close to the 700 000 mark on three days. With 697 107 transactions, Monday, 03 November 2008 was the busiest day. System performance was flawless and the high volumes were handled effortlessly.
The system processed a total of 12 942 920 transactions during November. 4 084 158 interface transactions* and 8 757 124 user transactions** were performed in this month. * Interface transactions are performed on other computer systems that have interfaces to the eNaTIS (such as those of the South African Police Service, vehicle manufacturers, banks and insurance companies). ** User transactions are performed by users of the eNaTIS application at registering authorities, testing stations and provincial authorities.
